Finding Better Solutions is a result of our relentless pursuit of continuous improvement and technical excellence — for our customers and our ourselves. It’s about deeply understanding our customers’ challenges and partnering to develop game-changing ideas that truly make a difference. From developing innovative features that improve the opening experience, to increasing efficiencies in how our packaging runs on a filling line, to finding new ways to reduce single-use plastics — every team member knows they have an opportunity to improve the status quo. Our Innovation Team continuously advances product design, identifies new materials, and pushes the limits of our equipment to develop breakthrough solutions that better meet our customers’ needs.

Better Lives

At the heart of everything we do is our people — not just our team members but also our community members. We’re committed to supporting and promoting our team members lives personally and professionally through financial, health and wellness programs, training programs, and opportunities for advancement. We’re also focused on bettering lives within our community. Through our Fair Chance Program, we give formerly incarcerated people a second chance to change the course of their lives by developing transferable and meaningful job skills. Our network of partners helps our fair chance workers with transportation, housing, and financial advice which helps them become thriving members of the community.

Better World

We believe we can use our business to create a Better World. This is reflected by our recent B Corp Certification, which validates our commitment to doing business in a way that demonstrates high social and environmental performance.

We start by reducing our environmental footprint through sustainable packaging, using soy-based and water-soluble inks and limiting unnecessary materials. We use responsibly sourced paper products from renewable resources to support healthy forests, wildlife and responsible forest management.

We also believe in connecting with the communities in which we live and work. From local nonprofit organizations like the Interfaith Hospitality Network of Warren County to Easters seals, Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities, and many others, we look for partnerships, projects and resources that will help make the world a better place.

Fair Chance Hiring

Our Fair Chance Hiring practices provide opportunities for formerly incarcerated individuals to learn transferrable and meaningful job skills, because we believe in giving second chances. While we do not offer open hiring, we do offer opportunities to those who are ready to work hard and fit within our organization. Our focus is on transitioning qualified candidates from an institution to the workplace so they can begin the process of investing in themselves to make the necessary changes to create a better life. An Environmental Commitment

Better Lives Coaching

No matter where we are in life, change is inevitable. That’s why JBM has two full-time Better Lives Coaches on staff to provide personal development training, life coaching, and access to partners who offer support in housing, transportation, and other transition services. We believe in giving ample opportunities for every employee to excel and achieve success. Every employee has the opportunity to meet confidentially with a JBM’s Better Lives coach to talk about what’s needed to help them advance — from training to personal resources to an agreed upon path for advancement.
